In Memory of Bodhi
6/22/1998 - 4/27/2010

Bodhi was a unique dog. He was loving, strong-willed yet very sensitive, expressed emotions similar to that of a person, and was often described as "majestic". But most importantly he was my friend & companion for almost twelve years.

Bodhi was at my side every day of his life. He went almost everywhere I did including work, where he would sit quietly on his couch much like a person. He was more than a pet considering I never had children of my own (the two-legged kind). His unique personality and unconditional love will be missed by all who loved him - especially me.

“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.”

In Memory of Sam

I brought Sam to his new home at 8 weeks old. The minute I put him down in the tall grass, he bounced over to his new dad as if to say "hey, I'm home." Sam never left our side. He was a travel'n dog, loved to ride in the back of the truck with his ear and lips flapp'n in the wind. Anytime the truck bed was down, or car door open, he'd jump in to let you know you were not leaving without him. He was an excellent swimmer, hiker, frisbee player, newspaper fetcher, slobberer, and all around lover boy. His best act was GENTLY taking a toothpick out of his dad or paw-paw's mouth and holding it in his, never swallowed or spit it out, and would not release it until you offered him a GOOD cookie to swap out.

Sam was our kid, our companion, our consoler, our friend, and the BIGGEST and HAPPIEST part of our life! We are so very fortunate he gave us 14 years of his life to us!

In Memory of Timber

Timber was our joy from the first moment we picked him up in our arms as a puppy. He was athletic most of all and loved football, soccer, frisbee and any way he could be involved. We have so many fond memories of fun times with him. We took him to golf courses late at night and when the sprinklers were on he was delighted. We couldn't see him but could hear a bark and then a "woosh" as he jumped high in the air and tried to bite the stream of water. No matter what he did he never wanted to stop.

Our days are saddened with him missing. He was a beautiful and most lovable dog. Towards his last days we'd shed a lot of tears knowing the moments left were precious, he'd lick the tears from our eyes and cheeks. We can hardly bear his loss. We were blessed to share 15 wonderful years with him. May he run and play above with no pain holding him back!!

Timber, you're most loved and missed and will never be forgotten.

Taking time to Grieve
Losing a pet can be similar to losing a family member.
It is not an easy thing to experience and grieving is necessary. Everyone is different in their grieving process and I encourage families to allow everyone in the family to grieve differently.

Take time to grieve the special relationship you had with your pet. Some people spend more time with their pet than extended family members and friends, so treat the loss accordingly.

One suggestion is to plant a flowering perennial in honor of your pet. Every spring, when the plant blooms, you can be reminded of your loved pet.
